Promise Yourself

Hello everyone! I received this little mantra from a coworker this week and it was perfect timing. Life is Limboland right now as I look for a new place to live, prepare myself to move out into the big 'ol world, and deal with the everyday pains and discomforts that often bog me down.  I believe things will fall into their proper place at the right time, but right now I'm falling and gravity can't drag me down fast enough to a soft landing.
This is a great creed to live by, especially in the roughest and darkest of times. Believe in yourself and promise to be and give your best!

Look for the Sunlight

Welcome to our blog!
Life is full of trials and adversities, some of which may seem impossible to overcome. We met in high school and although we lost contact after graduation, the Lord brought us back together for a purpose we didn't even realize for some time. We have both lived with chronic pain and health problems since we were teens, and as we've gotten older, we've developed many of the same conditions. This has only increased our capacity to understand each other and others who deal with the same challenges.
It is our hope that we can encourage others to always "Look up!" amidst the trials of their lives, for those trials are often God's mercies in disguise. We have seen the Lord's hand in our lives, and can witness that He does visit His children in their time of need.  We know that in the midst of great pain, we can have great joy, that there is sunlight through the clouds.

"I am asking that we stop seeking our the storms and enjoy more fully the sunlight. I am suggesting that as we go through life, we 'accentuate the positive.' I am asking that we look a little deeper for the good...Look for the sunlight through the clouds."
-Pres. Gordon B. Hinckley

"For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
-Psalms 84:11

"Remember, it is better to look up!"
-Pres. Thomas S. Monson
